This piece was conceived primarily as an anthem for Advent (no pun intended!). It is based on Marys famous affirmation of faith, sometimes called the Magnificat.
It can be performed with or without a childrens choir (the sopranos taking the childrens part), but is definitely enhanced by the presence of the childrens or youth voices.
Optional handbell parts are also available.
The demo recording here was done with the EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs and Piano Gold sound libraries.

Qui cantat laudem non solum cantat, sed et amat eum quem cantat.
(He who sings praise is not only singing, but also loving Him whom he is singing about/to/for.)
