Swan-Cross, Ltd. was established in 2003, as a publishing and marketing venture. At the time, I was self-employed and used one “division” of Swan-Cross to try to drum up business as an independent contractor Information Developer. The other (and primary) “division” was an attempt to establish a marketing outlet for my self-published musical compositions.

Both failed.

Some years later, having realized that both had failed, I decided to convert the website (and the corporate “entity”) to be simply a sort of showcase for my work as a composer.

In the final analysis, though, I have come to realize that there is—and always has been—a larger mission in view.

The Mission:

In a very real sense, the mission of Swan-Cross, as with any other Christian individual and organization, must be to extend and grow the Body of Christ in the world—in a phrase, to fulfill the mission, the Great Commission, as given by Christ Himself.

In a more direct sense, the music mission of Swan-Cross is threefold:

• To create music for the court of the King of kings, music that is of the highest quality and speaks of His majesty, power, glory, and grace.
• To provide music for the Body of Christ, music that will encourage His bride to grow in worship and praise of her Bridegroom.
• To help restore the Christian musician and composer to the vanguard in the advancement of the arts.

Music is a gift of the Creator,
Who allows us to create with Him
and because we are creators in His image.
