An Irish Blessing 5-part round with optional 4-hand piano accompaniment |
This piece was written as a simple round that can be done with up to 5 parts. The accompaniment can be played either 2- or 4-handed. The text is the traditional, well-known Irish Blessing. This piece was premiered in the spring of 1992, by the combined Eastwood Middle and High School choirs in northwestern Ohio, as the concert closer. That performance staged the choirs around the auditorium, surrounding the audience. This piece is relatively easy to teach in a short time. The demo recording was produced using electro-acoustic instruments. |
