Epic!
This arrangement is ideal for Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving, or any other high holy day on the Christian calendar. It is built on the traditional hymn written by Edmond Louis Budry (words) and George Frederick Händel (music).
This arrangement was originally commissioned and premiered by the musicians at Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville, OH, for Easter services in 2003. Late in 2023, to celebrate its 20th birthday, it has been reworked, revised, and upgraded to include an optional descant part.
The brass section consists of three trumpets in Bb and three trombones. There is an optionally a cappella section in the middle.
The demo recording here was produced using electro-acoustic instruments, including the sound libraries and organ patches from the Garritan Personal Orchestra sound library.

Qui cantat laudem non solum cantat, sed et amat eum quem cantat.
(He who sings praise is not only singing, but also loving Him whom he is singing about/to/for.)
